Privacy policy

What stays on your device, what websites receive, and the choices you have.

Updated September 24, 2026 · Video Saver 1.0.1

Who this policy covers

This privacy policy covers Video Saver (Chinese name: 拾流), an Android app developed by glumes, package com.glumes.videosaver, and this website. It describes version 1.0.1 as configured on September 24, 2026. For privacy questions or requests, contact ezglumes@gmail.com. You do not need a Video Saver account to use the app.

Links, history and files on your device

The app stores submitted video and website URLs, page or media titles, submission times, download records, selected formats, file locations, playback positions and preferences in app storage on your device. Link history keeps up to 100 recent entries. These records support revisiting links, managing downloads and resuming playback. Links can contain personal information or access tokens, so avoid sharing private URLs.

Downloaded media, temporary files, thumbnails and playback cache are also stored locally. Saved files go to Downloads / VideoSaver where supported, app-specific storage, or a folder you choose using Android’s folder picker. We do not upload your link history or saved media to a developer-operated content server. A third-party folder provider you select may sync files under its own policy.

Requests to websites and media providers

Opening a website, analyzing a link, loading a cover, previewing, or downloading sends requests from your device to the source website and its media providers. Those parties receive your IP address, the requested URL and standard request headers such as a user agent. Requests may also include a referring page and cookies needed for the selected resource. Websites can load their own scripts, trackers, advertisements and embedded services; their operators control those services and have their own privacy policies.

Video Saver does not provide a proxy that hides your IP address. Online playback and downloading use network data; depending on the source and cache mode, they may make separate requests.

Browser cookies and download sessions

The built-in browser uses Android WebView. It permits JavaScript and site storage, accepts first-party cookies and disables third-party cookies in its configuration. Website permissions for camera and microphone are denied. Closing the browser does not automatically erase its cookies or site storage.

When you select media in the browser, the app can store the media URL, source page URL, referring page, user agent and cookies matching that resource in private app storage. This lets a download use the same website session. These details are sent to the relevant source, not to our own server. Temporary cookie files are removed after use where possible; cleanup also removes stale temporary cookie files and unreferenced request records older than 24 hours when cleanup runs. Records still referenced by retained tasks can remain longer. See data deletion for a full local reset.

Clipboard, sharing and feedback

The app reads clipboard content when you tap Paste. A link shared to the app is processed after you choose Video Saver in the Android share sheet. If you share a saved file, Android grants the receiving app access to that file.

Feedback is prepared on your device and reviewed before you choose a receiving app. Optional feedback diagnostics contain the app version and Android version. If you send support email, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to answer your request and investigate issues. Please do not send passwords, session cookies or unnecessary private media.

Analytics, diagnostics and advertising

Firebase Analytics starts automatically with the app to measure basic feature usage and improve reliability. Google receives app usage events (pages, link routing and download outcomes), app-instance identifiers, app/device information and network metadata. Analytics can derive approximate region from IP addresses. Our event parameters do not include your URLs, media titles, files, cookies or browsing history. We disable Analytics advertising-ID collection and advertising-personalization signals. There is no separate statistics prompt or switch in this version. For privacy questions or data-rights requests, contact us using the address above. Crashlytics reporting remains disabled.

Google AdMob supplies a home-page banner and app-open advertisements. The advertising SDK may process IP addresses (including approximate location), advertising/app identifiers, device/app information, diagnostics and ad interactions to deliver and measure ads and prevent fraud. This version initializes the advertising SDK and requests ads automatically, without an in-app advertising consent dialog or advertising privacy settings. Development builds use official test ads; production builds use this app’s own ad units. Basic app analytics is handled separately as described above.

See Firebase privacy information, Mobile Ads data disclosure and Google’s Privacy Policy. Data may be processed outside your country. This website itself has no analytics or advertising scripts; visited websites operate their own services.

Permissions and your choices

Network access supports websites and transfers. Notification permission supports download status and completion notifications. Foreground data-sync services and wake locks help Android run user-started transfers. Selecting a destination grants access to the folder you choose. The current app does not request broad photo-library access, all-files access, location, contacts, camera or microphone access. See the permissions explanation. You can change permissions in Android settings; some features may then be limited.

This website and service providers

This site is hosted on Google Firebase Hosting. Google processes request IP addresses to deliver the site, prevent abuse and provide usage analysis; Firebase documents that Hosting retains IP data for a few months. Email you send to our Gmail support address is processed by Google’s email service. See Firebase Privacy and Security and Google’s Privacy Policy. These providers may process data outside your country.

Sharing and security

We do not sell your personal information. Data goes to the source websites you use, the folder or sharing destinations you choose, and the analytics, advertising, hosting or email providers described above. We may disclose information we actually hold if required by applicable law.

App-private records use the Android app sandbox. Cloud backup and device transfer of the app’s private data are excluded by its backup configuration. Files exported to shared or cloud-backed folders are outside that protection. This website uses HTTPS. App connections use the source’s protocol: the app currently permits HTTP as well as HTTPS, so not every media request is encrypted. Do not use untrusted HTTP pages for sensitive information. The browser rejects certificate errors and blocks mixed content. Local files are not protected by a separate app encryption layer; use your device lock and protect exported copies.

Retention and deletion

Local records remain until you remove them, history reaches its entry limit, or you clear app storage. Download cache and temporary files are retained for playback or resumable tasks and may be cleared using Storage settings; cleanup preserves data needed by active or resumable tasks. Browser session retention is explained above.

Removing a completed or failed task record does not delete its saved media. Delete media separately in Files or your device’s file manager. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes private app data, but media exported to Downloads, another folder, a cloud provider, or another app may remain. Support emails are retained as needed to resolve the request, handle follow-up and meet applicable legal obligations; you can request deletion. Clearing app storage or uninstalling does not delete events already received by Google. Retention of Analytics events follows the Google Analytics property settings; aggregated reports may remain longer. AdMob and third-party data follow the providers’ retention rules. Contact us for data-rights requests; do not send private links or cookies. Follow the step-by-step deletion guide.

Privacy requests and policy changes

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, and to complain to a local supervisory authority. Send a request to ezglumes@gmail.com, identifying Video Saver and the information concerned. We may ask for only the information needed to verify and handle your request. We cannot remotely retrieve or erase files held only on your device or data controlled by unrelated websites.

This is a general-purpose tool without child-specific accounts or a child-directed experience. Users below the local age for independent consent should involve a parent or guardian before using third-party online services. Contact us about any improperly submitted child information. We will update the date and, where appropriate, provide in-app notice when practices change.
